I am the owner of Scout Me Online.
I built this platform with my team because in the past, I wished I had something to connect me to clubs as previously I had to pay like £2500 just to be part of an agent so I can get a scholarship in USA. Most of the clubs I joined was because of friends who knew people and I followed the crowd.
I decided to be proactive and look online but every time you try email the clubs, you don't get response back which made me think I wish there was something for clubs to just view me somehow through online to convince them. There were some clubs that didn't even have website.
In August 2012, I decided to go Singapore to coach young kids and was hoping to find clubs on my spare time. 90% of the clubs in Singapore Premier league didn't even have a website but luckily my next door neighbour knew a coach who was happy for me to train with the premier league club Gombak United. The coach had already 5 foreign players and had asked me to come back in February 2013 however I felt I had given everything and spent all my savings, sold my car and motorbike to cover all my expenses. Singapore was too expensive to stay (I had spent 4 months) and I had to sell my motorbike to get back. I had other fact such as small injuries reoccurring that will prevent me from training that just made me think negative and felt depressed that things weren't working for me. I made all these as my excuse to give up which looking back, i shouldn've continued and let current obstacles defeat me.
I decided to go in to sales because of money which in my first sales job. I had set a goal which was written down that I will be the top salesman because I wanted to revive my confidence and belief. In the end I finished first and it had given me the confidence that writing goals and following the strategy of what successful people do everyday (positive habits) has made me realised I can achieve more in life and I wished I had knew during my football career.
Now my dream is to build an online platform that will be the best solution for all players to get scouted, increase their chance to professional club or find a better club from the current situation.
